Work in progress, oil on canvas
Portrait!
I just discovered the wonderful medium of oil paint. Wow, I really missed out for so many years! If only I tried using it when I started painting. I find it's easier and cheaper than acrylics, and it looks a lot better!I will post the finished painting when it's done...
Lord of the Flyer

Jerney and I designed the flyer for the "Lord of Flying" exhibition we had in July/August. It's supposed to be a boarding pass. After printing we needed a lot of help putting a perforated line by hand on every flyer to make sure a consumption ticket could be ripped off!
(Borrowed the first picture from Jerney)
Lord of the flies group exhibition

We had a great group exhibit at De Kunstsuper in Rotterdam. The third year class worked on themes from the book: 'Lord of the Flies' by William golding.
I loved how the work really fit together and created an interesting exhibition.
My installation was a piglet made out of chicken wire, hanging from a meat-hook biting into a fondant apple and a long red ribbon flowing down to the floor.
May food be thy medicine

What did Little red riding hood bring for her sick grandmother? A basket of healthy food that would make her better ofcourse. If Little red riding hood lived today, what kind of products would they be? Not a freshly baked loaf of bread, a jar of home made jam, and a bottle of fresh apple cider. More like today's super market products. Zero calorie apple juice, Prozac water, no carb bread, artificially flavored synthetic "jam", tuna in petroleum oil, milk without an expiration date and an apple with added fibre. What a healthy picnic that would be.
The woods

New painting: 'The woods', better picture will follow!
We had a great exhibit for our finals in Rotterdam, showing our work from the last semester. I showed two paintings and an installation.
